MONDO Athletics firmly believes that every youth that genuinely wants to become a complete and well-rounded student-athlete should be given an outlet to train and compete beyond the recreational level. MONDO offers the following basketball training services:
Basketball Player Evaluations - comprehensive evaluation that evaluated a player's shooting form & accuracy, ball handling & dribbling, passing & catching, defensive intensity, rebounding tenacity, athleticism & game play-making ability, hoops IQ, plus attitude & effort, work ethic, coachability and moral fiber. Evaluations can help establish a benchmark or gauge a player's level of play – recreational, competitive, club, high school, collegiate.
Basketball Group Skills Training - recurring group workouts that focus solely on competitive gameplay to give players what they need most... contested, pressured game reps! The emphasis is on skills development out of game situations with heavy 1-on-1 to 5-on-5 games progressions. The basketball concepts instruction and drill-then-compete approach encourages experimentation and decision-making, without the pressure of standings or statistics. In these workouts, guys HOOP!
Basketball Camps - specialized large group training sessions that entail a mix of individual skill development and fundamentals, plus a heavy dose of 2v2 to 5v5 scrimmages to teach team concepts. Youth basketball camps run between 3-4 hours long and can be one day, or can span over 2-4 days.
Basketball Leagues - youth and adult leagues are currently on hold and will return whenever facilities open up more.
Private, Personal, Individual Basketball Training - customized basketball workouts and plans unique to each player that can hone in on areas needing improvement or the approach can be more holistic to develop a well-rounded and skilled student-athlete. Focal areas can be jump shooting, ball handling & dribbling, attack moves, defense, plus game IQ and role/position specific development.
Strength and Performance Training for Basketball - strength, agility and performance training is no longer optional for youth basketball players, it's a necessity. The top high school hoops programs in the nation are committed to performance training, and you should be too. The MONDO certified strength and performance trainers know what it takes to physically excel on the court, and have the know-how to help prevent injuries.
Competitive Basketball Teams – all players interested in making a competitive basketball youth team must first be evaluated. MONDO teams are from the 5th grade (or 12U) to Varsity (or 17U), and compete year-round. Open, group TRYOUTS are typically held at the beginning of each season on: Early March for spring, mid-June for summer, and mid-August for fall. 1-on-1 evaluations are conducted year-round as well to help place players.
