AAU BASKETBALL TEAMS
MONDO Athletics offers AAU basketball teams for 4th - 12th grade boys throughout the greater Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. MONDO high school teams compete during the spring and summer club season that runs from March to July each year, as well as fall to prep for the high school basketball season that starts in November in Colorado each year. Younger teams (4th - 8th grades or 11U - 14U) compete year-round. MONDO AAU basketball teams compete in a number of basketball tournaments, showcases and leagues. Travel teams compete in a number of high profile college recruitment events across the country.
Competition? A mix of local tournaments and or leagues. Sample events include: GTE, iHOOP Nation, Hoop Dreams Nation, Rise Up Sports, JPS, Ball is Life and others.
Can't Make Open Tryouts? MONDO Athletics trains and evaluates players year-round. Book an evaluation during a date/time that works for you. If after the evaluation, a player is not ready for a competitive basketball team, an appropriate basketball development pathway is typically recommended that can include 1) basketball training, 2) a basketball development league, 3) basketball clinics or camps, or 4) a combination of any of these offerings.
What if I Don't Make a Competitive AAU Basketball Team?
If you or your child does not get invited to join an AAU basketball team, please do not get discouraged. You or your student/athlete may not be ready for the level of competition that MONDO basketball teams face. MONDO offers basketball skills training year-round, as well as basketball camps across the country that may be the next best thing for your student-athlete to improve as a player. Like academics, progress in sports comes with hard work, focus and dedication. MONDO Athletics will do all that it can to create opportunities for youth basketball players that are serious about playing at a high level. We rarely close doors, but rather strive to help players become better people on and off the basketball court.
"Our son and we appreciate everything you have done so far for him and the team and feel that you are the best most inspirational coach he has had to date. THANK YOU for all the life lessons that you teach the boys along with basketball." –Parent
