Basketball Training Services
MONDO Athletics firmly believes that anyone that genuinely wants to become a complete and well-rounded basketball player should be given an outlet to train and compete to achieve one's goals. MONDO Athletics offers the following basketball training services.
Basketball Evaluations - offered year-round, an evaluation is a great way to gauge an athlete's current skill level, game understanding and work ethic. An evaluation runs 40 minutes and helps establish a benchmark. Afterwards, a MONDO trainer will recommend an appropriate skill development training and/or competition (team) pathway.
Basketball Training - on a private (1-on-1) or semi-private (small group of 2-6) basis. Customized basketball workouts unique to each player that can hone in on areas needing improvement or the approach can be more holistic to develop a well-rounded and skilled athlete. Focal areas can be shooting, ball handling, attack and finishing moves, defense, plus game IQ and role/position specific development.
AAU Teams – boys and girls interested in making a competitive AAU basketball team must first be evaluated. Players can be evaluated on a 1-on-1 basis at any time, or they may be invited to attend an existing workout. TRYOUTS are also held in late February to early March for the summer club season, and in August for fall and winter seasons. MONDO teams compete year-round at the 5th grade (12U) to Varsity (17U).
Basketball Leagues – youth development basketball leagues for boys interested in playing 5v5 games in a world-class learning environment led by certified professional coaches and trainers.
Basketball Camps - larger group camps entail a mix of individual skill development plus a heavy dose of 2v2 to 5v5 game play to teach universal basketball concepts. Players will benefit from the learn then apply approach. Basketball camps run between 3-4 hours long and span between 2-4 days.
Basketball Clinics - a convenient option for players to spend extra time on specialized areas like shooting and ball handing and last between 1-2 hours. These are great for those seeking a "drop-in" workout within a small group setting. Some game play may also be thrown into the mix to test players.
